When I am painting on the beach I stop for the birds.
They move too fast to paint from life so I take a few photos and bring them back to the studio. But what I paint is not just what the camera saw. I paint what it felt like to be standing there when that bird had the whole beach to itself.
I made it bigger on purpose. Because that is how it felt.
